The sefer was very beloved by the holy Rabbi Yoel of Satmar, and he quoted from it extensively in his drashos (as testified by the ‘Berach Moshe’ in his haskama to the Zichron Aharon edition, Jerusalem 2015).
Rabbi Yechiel Michel of Glogau author of ‘Nezer HaKodesh’ (c1680-1730) was one of the illustrious sages of Poland and Germany in his time. He was held in great esteem by the greats of his generation, as written in their haskamos to the sefer, including the author of ‘Shav Yaakov’. Among his descendants is the author of ‘Kol Aryeh’ of Mad.

The printing of this enormous sefer was funded by the great philanthropist Rabbi Yissachar Berman Segal of Halberstadt, in whose Beis Medrash the author studied.
As a sign of gratitude, the author dedicated the sefer in honor of Rabbi Berman, and named the sefer "Nezer HaKodesh", which equals in gematria the name of the philanthropist: "Rabbi Berman Segal".
