Miniature manuscript on parchment, written for a Kohen ascending the duchan (platform), containing the prayers recited when the Kohen ascends the duchan during the Yamim Noraim.
Written in miniature format – 7.8 cm, to be easily and conveniently carried by the Kohen while standing on the duchan.
Illustrated title page with beautiful decorative frame, topped with ‘Hands of Kohen’ and ‘Crown of Priesthood’.
Written on the title page is the verse: "כה תברכו את ב’נ’י’ י’ש’ר’א’ל’" – "So shall you bless the Children of Israel" with the year encoded within it, and below it is written the name of the Kohen who owned the sefer: "R’ Tzvi son of R’ Yekusiel HaKohen."
The contents of the manuscript are: ‘Hayom Haras Olam’, ‘V’se’erav’, ‘Modim D’Rabbanan’, ‘Avinu Malkeinu Zechor Rachamecha’, Seder Birkas Kohanim, ‘B’Sefer Chaim’ and ‘Hayom T’amtzenu’.
