This sefer consists of two of the Alshich’s works.
The first work, commentary on the five megillos, Prague 5376 [1616], contains: Shoshanas Ha’amakim on Shir Hashirim, Einei Moshe on Ruth, Devarim Nechumim on Eichah, Devarim Tovim on Koheles, and Mas’as Moshe on Esther.
The second work is Mar’os Hatzov’os, commentaries on the early prophets. Prague 5380-5381 [1620-1621]. Rare second edition
First print of text Nevim with commentary (in the first edition only the commentary was printed without the text of nevim).
At the end of Megillas Esther are four woodcut illustrations from the story of the Megillah. At the end of Eichah is a woodcut of people sitting and lamenting on the floor of the shul – this woodcut doesn’t appear in the first edition.
Pages: Shoshanas Ha’amakim 22; 22; 18; 18; 31. Mar’os Hatzov’os 111. 31 cm. Good-moderate condition. Wear, tears and marginal completions on the first title page, Brown paper, typical of Prague prints. Old leather binding with beautiful decorations, rubbed and damaged. Old signatures on the title page, including the signature of Rav Moshe Wiermeiza, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Aharon, head of the Mitz yeshiva.
