 Sefer Yesod by the Rema!

Darchei Moshe by the Rema. First Edition. Zoltzbach, 1692

Chiddushim in halachah by prominent Ashkenazic scholars that were excluded from the Beis Yosef. Darchei Moshe is a fundamental work authored by Rabbeinu Moshe Isserles, the Rema,   Av Beis Din of Cracow. The sefer was printed by Rabbi Yochanan Kremnitzer along with his glosses and chiddushim which he entitled
Orach Mishor.

Similar to Rabbi Yosef Karo who authored his expansive work Beis Yosef and then followed with his more abridged Shulchan Aruch, the Rema also inscribed his fundamental work and magnum opus
Darchei Moshe and then later published Hagahos HaRema on Shulchan Aruch.

The version of Darchei Moshe printed alongside the Tur extracts only the main points of the Rema’s writings and has thus been monikered “Darchei Moshe Hakatzar” (Abridged Darchei Moshe). The present sefer, which includes the complete, original version of the sefer, is called
Darchei Moshe Ha’aroch (Long Darchei Moshe).

Many points in Hagahos HaRema are only clarified upon referring to the original source explanation in Darchei Moshe Ha’aroch. Rabbi Efraim Zalman Margalios (Maalos Hayuchsin)
inscribed: “Truly the complete [version of] Darchei Moshe is extremely beneficial to the one who peruses it, and sometimes, it is impossible to glean his intent properly only with the abridged version.”
