Rav Avraham Shag-Zwebner (Freistadt 1801-Yerushalayim 1876) was famed as a gaon and tzaddik. He was very close to the Chasam Sofer, who said of him: “In some fields there is no talmid chacham as great as the Kobersdorf Rav.”
One of his greatest talmidim was Rav Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, who followed him when he moved to Eretz Yisrael.
