“I pray for your swift recovery every single day.”

A handwritten and autographed letter by the Chazon Ish, Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Karelitz. In this letter, the Chazon Ish writes to a relative
, “I pray for your swift recovery every single day” and closes with additional blessings and acronym
“signing with a blessing for your speedy recovery. The one who seeks your welfare, AY”S.”

The Chazon Ish Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Karelitz (1879-1954) was one of the leading Gedolim in the previous generation who spearheaded efforts to rebuild the Torah world after the Holocaust. His guidance and pure philosophies serve as foundations and pillars of charedi society in Eretz Yisrael until this very day.

When the Chazon Ish still resided in Lithuania, Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski would often send Jews to seek his blessing and counsel. Upon arriving in Eretz Yisrael, the Chazon Ish settled in Bnei Brak, where his home became a magnet for Jews who sought his blessings for health and salvation.

The Chazon Ish inscribed the recipient’s name on the back of the letter, and on the bottom, the recipient handwrote the words
“Received on Erev Succos, 5713 (1953).” Size: Approx. 11 x 11 cm.
Condition: Good with original fold marks and small tears.
