Eishes Chayil – A Special and Rare Work for Women!

An interesting treatise on the well-known song of Eishes Chayil, "Woman of Valor", by Shlomo HaMelech, (Mishlei, Ch. 31 Verse 10-31).
The work deals with the exceptional ways of the Jewish woman, between her and the Creator, between her and her husband, and between herself.
A rare sefer. Works composed specifically for Jewish women are uncommon.
It was written by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yagel (Galiccho) of Monacilioni, one of the sages of Italy in the sixteenth century.
"The only one of his generation well versed in astronomy is Rabbi Avraham Yagel, who is well versed in all wisdoms." (In the language of the Rema of Fano).
He also wrote Moshiah Chusim – A Prayer for a Plague (Venice, 1586), Lekach Tov – Education for Boys (ibid., c. 1594), Gei Chizayon – his well-known autobiographical book, and more.
The work was dedicated to the marriage of Rabbi Chizkiyah Fuah, the brother-in-law of the Rema of Fano, whose signed together with the Rema with regard to a Psak Halachah in the Rovigo mikvah controversy.
