Sefer Peiros Ginosar, contains the commentary ‘Pri To’ar’ by Rabbeinu Chaim ben Attar, on the ‘Pri Chadash’ of Rabbi Chizkiya de Silva. Published together with the text of the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah (simanim 1-122).
This is the first edition of this basic commentary, published in the author’s lifetime. The Ohr HaChaim is one of only four tzaddikim who merited to have added to their name "The Holy"
(together with the Shlah, the Alsheich and the Ari).
A complete copy, including the last page containing the rare Lu’ach HaTa’us that is missing from most copies. It is not recorded at all in the Institute for Hebrew Bibliography.

At the time of the sefer’s printing, the Chida studied at the yeshiva of the Holy Ohr HaChaim in Jerusalem, and he describes him in lofty words:
"I, the young man, was fortunate to be in his yeshiva, and my eyes saw the greatness of his Torah… and his unbelievable holiness… and he was like an overflowing fountain… He composed Chefetz Hashem, Rishon LeZion, Ohr HaChaim and Pri To’ar. His wisdom is evident from his sefarim – but it is one tenth of his wisdom and generosity… All day long he is surrounded with holiness and is separated from the affairs of This World…" (Shem HaGedolim)
