Rabbi Mordechai Azriel Weinberger (1883 – 1953) was the son of Rabbi Shmuel Zalman Weinberger, Av Beis Din of Margaretten son of the Mahariatz. He served as Av Beis Din of Margretten from 1934 and as Rosh Yeshiva there. Rabbi Mordechai Azriel frequented various Chassidic courts and his yeshiva had a Chassidic flavor. He himself had a "tisch" and even ba’alei batim would flock to hear his words of Torah and Chassidus. He was taken to the Grosswardein Ghetto in 1943 and was then deported to Auschwitz. He was murdered on the 3rd of Sivan, 1944. [Fuchs, The Yeshivos in Hungary p. 426]. Margaretten,
