Sefer Evronot with Illustrations – Offenbach 1722

A fundamental book in determining the Jewish calendar through calculation of seasons, new moons, and intercalations [=astronomy] by Rabbi Abraham Blin Ashkenazi, with the booklet "Noten Teshuah" by Rabbi Nathan Joshua, a scribe from the great ones of Hamburg.

The book includes printed circles indicating the path of the sun and zodiac signs to aid in calculating the movement of celestial bodies. These circles are called ‘wheels’ and are found complete in this copy.

Throughout the book, there are many illustrations and calculation tables, as well as two large drawings of an open palm. On the title page, there is an illustration of the solar system and zodiac signs, and figures of Moses and Aaron

Offenbach [1722]. First printing of the booklet "Noten Yeshuah". Page count: [2], 40 leaves. Size: 19.3 cm. Good condition, few holes, stains and signs of use. Old worn binding. Former owners’ signatures. Inside the book is a handwritten page and lists of new moons for the months of the year 5513.
