The ‘Midrash Rabbah’ of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld.

Hundreds (!) of glosses in his own handwriting

On the title page appears his signature from an early period:
"Hakatan Chaim
Sonnenfeld" (the name Yosef was added later by the Maharil Diskin).

Throughout the book appear hundreds of corrections, glosses, and notes in his own handwriting. To the best of our examination, these have never been printed!

Books with glosses in the handwriting of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, the Rabbi of Jerusalem, are extremely rare.
