Fez Community’s Beis Din Records, with nearly 100 Signatures of Prominent Dayanim [1910-1931]
Volume contains a collection of nearly 50 monetary documents with the signatures of the Fez dayanim between 1910-1918.
The register is a historic record of the life of Jews in Fez, Morocco, over 100 years ago.

The ledger continues with over a hundred pages written in Judeo-Arabic (and some in Arabic) between the years 1925-1931, documenting a list of expenses and loans given by the owner to various individuals.
Fez 1910-1931. Over [170] written pages, with many blank pages. On the back of some of the documents appears documentation of the loan repayment times.
Size: Approximately 17 cm.
Good condition, intentional tears by the Bet Din on some of the documents, as a sign that the debt was paid in full and the document is void.
A few documents have missing tears. Stains. One page detached. Hole in the last pages (mostly blank). Some stains and wear. Antique leather binding, worn. Defect in the spine.
