Spectacular edition: 2 Volumes of Hamagid Slavita edition of Neviim- Slavita 1834-5

Extra wide margins, thick rich paper and impressive original Slavita binding.

Two parts of Neviim from Sefer Hamagid edition, with Peirush Rashi, Metzudos David and Metzudos Zion, and a Yidish translation.

Part Two – Me’lachim and Divrei Hayamin
Part Four – Yechezkel and Trei Asar

Printed by Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira, son of Rabbi Moshe, Rabbi of Slavita, son of Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz.

Rare; Extra wide margins – 32.4 cm!

There are ancient testimonies indicating that during printing, the sheets were attached to the press using nails that pierced the sheet, to prevent it from moving during printing. (We have seen similar holes in several books from Slavita prints, see also in the book Nefesh HaChaim from the Vilna print, Genazim auction 13 item 92)

These holes have been preserved in only a very limited number of books worldwide, throughout the entire period of Hebrew printing!

Both parts are bound in identical elegant ‘Slavita’ leather bindings with embossed designs and gold decorations!

A spectacular copy!
