The
Halichos Olam is printed in the center of the page, flanked by the Beis Yosef’s Klalei Hagemara on one side, and Yavin Shemu’ah on the other side.
In his introduction, Rabbi Algazi stresses the necessity for every person studying the Gemara to know its guidelines: "By properly understanding the Gemara’s guidelines, he will understand every issue."
Venice [1639], First Edition . Pages: 129, [16] leaves. Size: 27.5 cm. Overall in good condition, First and last pages are artistically restored, paper completion at the edges of a few pages, on the last page about half of the page is completed (with a minimal flaw in a few words). A few holes and stains. Antique leather binding.
Distinguished Copy: Throughout the sefer there are dozens of glosses in the handwriting of Rabbi Nissim Amato (passed away 1754), one of the greatest Rabbanim of Constantinople, Izmir and Yerushalayim, some of them autographed.
On the title page appears the signature of Rabbi Moshe ben Dovid Abulefia
the above glosses were copied by an unknown scholar around 1740’s and are registered in a manuscript at the National Library.
