A Sefer of rulings and letters containing 224 responsa from the greatest scholar of the generation, Rabbi Akiva Eger, the Chief Rabbi of Poznań.
Since the publication of the book, it has remained in constant use and is regularly studied in yeshivas. His reasoning and rulings are employed by scholars and quoted with great reverence in recent halachic and analytical works.
By Rabbi Akiva’s request, the book was published with great care on fine paper, with wide margins, and includes eye-catching illustrations of beautiful animals and plants.
The responsa were sent to all corners of the world, including to his son-in-law, the great Rabbi Moshe Sofer (the "Chatam Sofer"), Rabbi Meir Pozner, Rabbi Yaakov Lorberbaum of Lissa, and others.
