One of the first Chassidic sefarim!
Ginzei Yosef. First Edition. Lvov, 1792

Commentary on Chamishah Chumshei Torah and chiddushim on Shas by “Harav Hagadol Be’Nigleh U’benistar [Torah], Ish Elokim Kadosh” (Rabbi Zusha of Anipoli) and “Chassid Ve’anav Ner Israel, Amud Hayemani’ Patish He’chazak…” (Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev)
the Admor Rabbi Yosef Bloch, Maggid of Satanov.

Ginzei Yosef is replete with foundations of Chassidus and cites wondrous teachings from the mouth of the Baal Shem Tov, the author’s spiritual master, the Maggid of Mezritch, and other illustrious progenitors of Chassidus. It is one of the earliest Chassidic sefarim printed.

The Admor Rabbi Yosef Bloch (1724-1791) was one of the exalted members of the Maggid of Mezritch’s chaburah. He served as Rav and Av Beis Din of Alesk and subsequently as Maggid Meisharim in Satanov, Ukraine, and was an ancestor of the Admor Rabbi Mordechai of Nadvorna from the glorious Nadvorna dynasty.

This sefer opens with warm approbations by early Chassidic masters who unanimously praise the author’s piety, wisdom and sanctity, among them the Admorim Rabbi Zusha of Anipoli, Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon of Shepatovka, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, Rabbi Avraham of Pshevorsk and others.
