This is the first miniature siddur printed by Rabbi Wolf, whose siddurim were accepted throughout Ashkenazi countries and were reprinted in hundreds of editions!
The Hacham R’ Wolf Heidenheim (1757-1832) was one of the greatest grammarians. He had access to ancient books and accurate manuscripts of the Tanach, and was a wonderful expert and grammarian in the Biblical text
He was known for printing precise editions of the Chumash, Tehillim, and
Machzorim. He also wrote commentaries on piyyutim, and the
Chatam Sofer wrote about him, "If not for him, the piyyutim would have been forgotten" (Kovetz Teshuvot Chatam Sofer, Section 48)
