Illustrated Chanukas Habayis

Venice, 1696. First Edition.
Description and illustrations of the Beis Hamikdash and its sacred vessels by Rabbi Moshe Chefetz of Venice.

Throughout the sefer are many illustrations of the Beis Hamikdash structure and its vessels, made in fine copper engravings.

Includes the large diagram (31 x 42 cm) of the Beis Hamikdash.

This work is among the most important sefarim dealing with the design of the Beis Hamikdash, and the author’s opinion on these halachos is frequently quoted in various sefarim.

Rabbi Moshe Chefetz (1664-1712) was a genius in Torah and well-versed in all sciences of his time. He authored ‘Meleches Machsheves’ on the Torah. He passed away at just 48 years of age.

The printing of this sefer took place in two stages. In the first stage, the text was printed on the pages with blank spaces designated for illustrations, and in the second stage, the illustrations were stamped onto the pages of the sefer.
