Noam Megadim U’Kevod HaTorah
Lemberg, 1807

A chassidic commentary on the Chamisha Chumshei Torah, authored by the holy Rabbi Eliezer HaLevi Horowitz, a distinguished disciple of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk and the Maggid of Zlotchov.

Throughout his writings, he presents pearls of wisdom from his great teachers, including the Maggid of Mezritch and even the holy Baal Shem Tov.

The author also includes insights from the righteous leaders of his own generation while they were still alive, such as Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, the Baal HaTanya, the Chozeh of Lublin, and others.

At the beginning of the sefer is a rare collection of approbations from chassidic Rebbes, including: The Ohev Yisrael of Apta; The Chozeh of Lublin; The Yismach Moshe of Ujhely; The Maggid of Kozhnitz; Rabbi Shimon of Zhelichov; The Orach L’Chaim of Zlotchov; Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margolies; and others.

Rabbi Eliezer HaLevi Horowitz, Av Beis Din of Tarnogród (d. 1806), was one of the esteemed figures of chassidus in his generation. He was described by the Maggid of Kozhnitz as a "tzaddik and chassid, pure and holy". He authored ‘Noam Megadim U’Kevod HaTorah’ and ‘Imros Tehoros’ on Tehillim.

Enthusiastic Praise from Tzaddikim in Their Approbations:

* The Yismach Moshe:
 "Whoever reads it, their eyes will shine with the pure fear of Hashem. His words ignite the heart like burning flames, arousing love for Hashem… Act, take action, and do not hesitate over your money, for gold cannot compare to it…"

* The Maggid of Kozhnitz:
 "Every word of this sefer is founded upon guidance toward holiness and true       humility."

* The Chozeh of Lublin:
 "The gaon and holy man… whose every deed was for the sake of Heaven…       He was an exalted scholar, the likes of whom cannot be found."

* The Ohev Yisrael of Apta:
 "Many have drawn from his well, a wellspring of living waters… His holiness        and separation from worldly matters are well known."

The final two pages contain a section titled "Names of Subscribers, " and include some of the greatest chassidic leaders, such as the Chozeh of Lublin, Rabbi Naftali of Ropshitz, Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margolies, and others.
