Brody, 1875. First Edition.

Commentaries on the Torah portions, 5 Megillos and discourses on the Yamim Noraim by Rabbi Yosef Moshe of Zalozitz, a disciple of the Maggid of Mezritch.

An impressive and beautiful copy, with wide margins, completely intact. Includes the four pages at the end with a list of subscribers, among them great Chassidic leaders.

Chassidic sages endorse this sefer and shower their blessings and promises for salvation upon those who purchase it:

Ohev Yisrael of Apta: “I asked every man who is generous of heart to purchase this sefer… The merit of the author shall safeguard him and he shall merit blessing from G-d.”

Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Ziditchov: “In the merit of this, their kindness and goodness shall be recalled, to grant them longevity.”

Rabbi Dovid Moshe of Chortkov: “The merit of the author will safeguard the buyer and shower upon him a bounty of goodwill and blessings of salvation, to be blessed with a triple blessing.”

Rabbi Yosef Moshe of Zalozitz (1735-1815) was a disciple of the Maggid of Mezritch and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and would quote from them and his other teachers. He was a holy sage and miracle worker who was praised by his contemporaries as "exalted in Torah and chassidus" and "we rarely saw him eating, drinking, sleeping or partaking of any physical pleasure." He authored ‘Be’er Mayim’ on the Pesach Haggadah and ‘Bris Avram’ on the Torah.
